Place is in a upamarket residential area..quiet with in the core of Port Blair city.Close proximity to Airport and Harbor.Rooms are clean and neatly maintained and comfortably spacious,place has a good restaurant with attrached BAR.Since the prices of liqueur at these places are high(not as much as in BLR) not many outsiders come here for drinks.Also this hotel does not advertise about BAR any where.Amazing service staff who ensure you have a pleasant stay.I recommed this place.
My boyfriend and i had hoped to travel to Neil or Havelock Island but couldn't get a ferry so we decided to make the most of our stay in Port Blair.Hotel Rishab luckily had a room available for our last few nights.The reception girls were very helpful in confirming our booking and the manager allowed us to check in very early the following morning including breakfast.The restuarant staff we all very polite and helpful.The Wi-fi in the lobby is very slow,but we had the same issue in many places in Port Blair.The lift had also broken down but they had an engomeer available to repair the next day.Everyone we dealt with at the hotel were friendly,polite and helpful and our stay very comfortable and enjoyable.
On return from Havelock had occasion to stay overnight in this budget hotel by paying a fairly high rate being in the peak of the tourist season when getting a room was in itself a difficult task.First,the good news,The hotel has received a fresh coat of paint and has been furnished with new fittings,furnishings and furniture.And then for the not so good news...Despite the new trappings the hotel fails to rise above the pedestrian.The woom we were allotted overlooked a stock yard and if strained hard you could see a hint of the city,which is a pity considering that the hotel is situated atop Marina Hill,which theoratically should have enjoyed good 360 degree views of the Island city.The restaurant of the hotel was nothing to write home about either with spicy seafood,sunmica or plastic topped tables.
The service stands out the most,but the food and rooms are also good,some of the rooms are updated,ask for a newly remodeled room.Fresh seafood is available and safe for foreigners to eat.Plenty of cold beer.Its not a 5star resort,but definitely worth the cheap price.
We booked this hotel for our three day stay in Port Blair through federal Tours and Treavels for our leisure tour to Port Blair.And it is a unique little gem,really.We have stayed at many hotels over the years which ranged from interiors districts of Andhra Pradesh to Srinagar to Ahmedabad and Delhi,ofter luxury ones.Yet i am sure we will still fondly remember the vacations we had there.It is the perceptive and friendly service that makes it worthwhile staying in this small hotel.The owners and staff are social at just the right level and they go to great lenght to make you feel at home.The facilities offered by the hotel were good.The room was spacious and pretty,The breakfastis good and the lunch and dinners very delicious.
