Wandoor Beach at Andaman Islands
– A Serene Getaway into Port Blair’s Wild Side
Just 45 minutes from Port Blair, Wandoor Beach stands out not through buzz but through balance—serene views, spacious sands, and access to some of Andaman’s richest marine biodiversity. Known for its calm shoreline and easy access to some of the region’s best marine experiences, Wandoor acts as both a peaceful beach retreat and a launch point to the Mahatma Gandhi Marine National Park. Ideal for day-trippers, families, or travellers with a flexible itinerary, it’s a place where you can enjoy a scenic pause or begin a deeper journey into Andaman’s vibrant underwater world.
Set along the edge of the Mahatma Gandhi Marine National Park, Wandoor’s shoreline opens up to views of distant islets and shallow, coral-rich waters. The geography here is unique: a clean, tree- lined stretch of beach backed by mangrove forests and edged with a natural rocky frame. It’s the main gateway to Jolly Buoy and Red Skin Islands, two of the region’s best coral destinations. While most visitors come here for ferry rides and glass-bottom boat tours, the beach itself offers shaded walking trails, quiet picnic corners, and a refreshing escape from more lively Port Blair spots.
Whether you're unwinding by the shoreline, capturing postcard-perfect views, or boarding a boat to explore nearby coral islands, Wandoor Beach offers a fulfilling coastal experience without the hassle. It's not just a stopover—it's a well-rounded destination that introduces you to the quieter, more immersive side of Andaman.
