Bharatpur Beach in Andaman Islands

Bharatpur beach is right about half a kilometer from Neil island jetty. It is a wide, white beach. Most of the tourists visit this beach in the morning hours and do snorkeling as in the evening they get to watch the sunset at Laxmanpur beach. The beach is well known for its coral reef which is undoubtedly utterly beautiful and probably the most beautiful in Andamans. There are plenty of benches to sit and some stalls around that sell packaged drinking water and coconut water. There are regular boats from Port Blair to Neil Island. These boats run daily and are government ferries.

Bharatpur beach is also one of the best beaches you can visit with your family as the beach is a lagoon with gentle waves hitting the shore. Shallow and clear water caresses the shoreline for around 500 meters making it perfect for you to relax in the water while the children have their share of fun.

It is great to get to the Bharatpur beach early in the morning to catch the sun rising to the sky and envelope the beach in a play of colours that reflect from the water and contrasting sand. After enjoying your time in the beach, you can head down to get a spectacular view of the local marine life. This is one of the popular beaches in Andaman Islands that offer glass bottom boat rides, snorkeling and scuba diving. The real beauty though, is experienced only with a scuba dive that can expose you to an amazing array of fish, a colourful reef and other interesting marine life.

After you get back mesmerized with the marine life, you can simply relax on a hammock with a good book. But then again, when the view is so good, how will you keep your eyes on the book.

End your day at the Bharatpur beach as you watch the golden sun go down and set the sky on fire while the water glistens like liquid gold. In the long stretch of white sand, you can sometimes hear the sound of silence and experience visual poetry. This is one beach in Andaman Islands you simply should not miss.A perfect beach that comes right out of a picture postcard, Bharatpur beach looks like it has been painted by an artist in his dream. Located just half a kilometer from the jetty, it is considered to be the best beach in Neil Island.
